There's also incredible diversity in the magic powers these characters have, from swords and archery to ice, fire, assassination, and mad science, among others. PRODUCTION VALUES - Art and animation are rather crude for the time the show was made. They are all more than a little likable but there is very limited development among any of them and they are extreamly unoriginal. With a rating like that, one would think that battle scenes where characters are getting sliced, cut, bruised, and even impaled would show some blood. The plot is always predictable, since it repeats in the exact same way all the time with no interesting plot twists or memorable events.

The situation seems ... Mavis finally reveals the secrets of her past, including her connection with Fairy Tail, Zeref, and her own sin.

Fairy Tail is an epic shounen anime that fans world-wide over have followed for over three years. I'm not saying that it should be gushing blood and gore like Attack on Titan or Saiyuki Gaiden, but at least a little bit of blood to make the battle scenes really stand out would have been better than the lines we were given to indicate there's supposed to be a wound there.

Naruto Uzumaki, a mischievous adolescent ninja, struggles as he searches for recognition and dreams of becoming the Hokage, the village's leader and strongest ninja. This is the arc which brings together a lot of the events which has occurred up until this point (but still leaves an air of mystery about them, and introduces two even bigger mysteries). SCRIPT The story is completely generic stuff and easily the weakest part of the show.

If they hadn't made the filler arcs, I'd give the Story either a 9 or 10/10, the Characters a 10/10, and the Overall a 9/10. Mini tournaments are emphasized because of the cluster of villains and heroes. Many of them have either have bland and forgettable personalities (outside of the eccentric God Serena, though we barely see any of his fights and Wall Eehto), or are extremely overpowered and use their abilities poorly (Jacob and Brandish are notable in this). They just fool around until a villain or a mission appear out of nowhere (no foreshadowing at all) and just decide to take part in the whole thing for money or to save some girl. Fairy Tail is unique, yet repetitive.
