I highly recommend these powered PA speakers for keyboard players. The EV EKX-12Ps have ended my search—great for music, but also flexible enough for acoustic sounds. Long story short, I traded in my 4 EKX-12p and 2 EKX 18sp and got 4 QSC K12 & 2 KW181, and I'm a very happy camper now!!!....WhooHoo!!. The problem with PA speakers is that they are geared toward DJs, with boosted bass and highs, they have few inputs and most have limited EQ options. For a piano to sound right, you need to have flexible EQ to compensate for the speaker’s and the room’s acoustics. I had them for only 6 months.
